The TEAM Coalition and Major League Baseball^® joined together in support of designated driver programs at all MLB stadiums during the 2008 season with a special incentive called the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes. More than 334,000 fans registered to be a designated driver, pledged to not drink alcohol, drove their friends and family home safely, and ensured that everyone always buckled up.

At the end of the season, one designated driver from each Club was selected. Click here for Designated Drivers for the Season from each MLB Club.The selected designated drivers from the Clubs that competed in the World Series^® beginning on October 22, 2008 each received two (2) tickets to the first game of the series played at the ballpark of their favorite MLB Club.

A trip to the 2009 MLB All-Star Game^® in St. Louis, MO at Busch Stadium will be awarded to the Designated Driver for the Season of a Club which did not play in the World Series^®. The All-Star Game^® trip includes two (2) tickets to the game, roundtrip airfare, and hotel accommodations (if necessary). Click here to see last year's winners.

To promote this incentive, TEAM produced TV and radio PSAs. The TV PSAs aired on local broadcast stations in MLB markets, and they were also played on the video boards in MLB ballparks. The radio PSAs aired on local radio stations and national radio networks. Click here for the PSAs.
