TEAM Coalition and Major League Baseball® joined together in support of designated driver
programs at all MLB stadiums during the 2011 season with a special
incentive called the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes.
Fans who registered to be a designated driver pledged to not drink alcohol,
drove their friends and family home safely, and ensured that everyone
always buckled up.
At the end of the season, one designated driver from each Club was
selected. The
Designated Drivers for the Season from the Clubs that competed in the World Series® each received
two (2) tickets to the first game of the series played at the ballpark of their
favorite MLB Club.
A trip to the 2012 MLB All-Star Game® at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, MO will be awarded to one of the remaining 28 Designated Drivers for the season from the Clubs that did not participate in the 2011 World Series®.
The All-Star Game® trip includes two (2) tickets to
the game, roundtrip airfare, and hotel accommodations (if necessary). Click here to see last year's winners.
Entrants for the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes were all MLB fans who
pledged to be the designated driver for their friends and family at an MLB stadium
during the 2011 season. Entry was also available online at www.RHIR.org or by mail.

To promote this incentive, TEAM produced TV and radio PSAs as well as posters and Fan Code of Conduct cards for many MLB Clubs. The TV
PSAs aired on local broadcast stations in MLB markets, and they were
also played on the video boards in MLB ballparks. The radio PSAs
aired on local radio stations and national radio networks. Click here to view all the promotional elements.
