TEAM Coalition and Major League Soccer^® joined together in support of designated driver programs at all MLS stadiums during the 2009 season with a special incentive called the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes. Thousands of MLS fans registered to be a designated driver, pledged to not drink alcohol, drove their friends and family home safely, and ensured that everyone always buckled up.

At the end of the season, one designated driver from each club was selected. Click here for the Designated Drivers for the Season from each MLS club.The selected designated drivers from the teams that competed in MLS Cup 2009^® on November 22, 2009 each received two (2) tickets to the championship game played at Qwest Field in Seattle, WA.

A trip to the 2010 MLS All-Star Game^® Houston, TX will be awarded to Larry Gloss, the Colorado Rapids Designated Driver for the Season. To promote this incentive, TEAM produced TV and radio PSAs. The TV PSAs aired on local broadcast stations in MLS markets, and they were also played on the video boards in MLS stadiums. The radio PSAs aired on local radio stations and national radio networks. Click here for the PSAs.
