The National Football League and TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) recognized the 2007 Top 5 NFL teams for designated drivers. This season's winners are the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars and San Diego Chargers. These NFL teams had the largest number of designated driver signups at home games this season, helping to save lives on our nation’s highways.
Each year, the NFL and TEAM Coalition partner to promote the Designated Driver program and positive fan behavior through the Responsibility Has Its Rewards campaign. The 2007 season provided a dramatic increase in the total number of designated driver signups with more than 100,000 fans pledging throughout NFL stadiums across the country.
At a home game late in the season, the NFL, TEAM Coalition and its partners presented each team with a commemorative plaque to mark the achievement in an on-field ceremony.
