The National Football League and TEAM Coalition (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) recognized the 2008 Top 5 NFL teams for designated drivers. This season's  winners are the Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins. These NFL teams had the largest number of designated driver signups at home games this season, helping to save lives on our nation’s highways.
Each year, the NFL and TEAM Coalition partner to promote the Designated Driver program and positive fan behavior through the Responsibility Has Its Rewards campaign. The 2008 season proved to be the most successful season to date with over 140,000 fans pledging to be designated drivers throughout NFL stadiums across the country.
