TEAM Coalition and the National Football League® (NFL) joined together in support of designated-driver
programs at all NFL stadiums during the 2009 season with a special
incentive for designated drivers called the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes.
Throughtout the regular season, more than 152,000 fans registered to be designated drivers, pledging not to drink alcohol,
to drive their friends and family home safely, and to ensure that everyone
always buckles up - every trip, every time.
At the end of the season, one designated driver representing each NFL team was
randomly selected from all those responsible fans as the Designated Driver for the Season. Click here to see all the Designated Drivers

The Designated Drivers for the Season from the New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts
each received trips to Super Bowl XLIV® including airfare, hotel accommodations and
two (2) tickets to the game played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami, FL.
A trip to the 2010 Pro Bowl® in Miami, FL was awarded to the Marco Hernandez, the Designated Driver
for the Season from the Houston Texans. Mr. Hernandez was selected from a random drawing of all the Designated Drivers
for the Season whose favorite teams were not competing in the Super Bowl.
The Pro Bowl® trip included two (2) tickets to

To promote the Responsibility Has Its Rewards sweepstakes,
TEAM Coalition has produced TV and radio PSAs with many NFL teams. The TV
PSAs utilize fans as the spokespeople for responsibility. The PSAs air on local broadcast TV stations in NFL markets, and they
appear on the video boards in NFL stadiums. The radio PSAs
